Here are a few pointers to get you and your institution started. Have you already set up your account and need guidance for instructors? Help them out by passing along our Instructor quick start guide.
Account ID The unique identifier for your account.
Account Name The name of your institution. You can change this in the account settings.
Status 'Active' if you currently have a Turnitin subscription.
Instructors Use this button to add Instructors directly to the account.
New Account Dependent on your account type, using this button will allow you to create sub-accounts.
Stats Statistics about usage on your account. Want to know more? Administrator - Categories.
Edit Edit settings relevant to your account. You can also download an XLS file listing all students on your account.
Anonymous Marking Use the green tick icon to view an audit trail of any anonymous marking reveals your instructors have made.
Integrations Use to configure an integration. Integrations allow you to use Turnitin in a learning management system.
Delete Delete the account, including all classes or submissions that have been made.
Adding instructors
- From the administrator homepage, select Instructors icon in the Instructors column to navigate to the instructor edit page.
- Select the Add Instructor button to begin.
- Enter the instructor's first name, last name, and email address.
Just getting started and have a lot of instructors to add at once? From the instructor edit page, select the Add List button. Administrator - Categories.
Double check your instructor's details are correct before you select the Submit button as the instructor will use this information to log in.
- Hit the Submit button.
- You're set! We'll handle the rest and email the instructor with the details they need to get started.
Submitting a paper
If you'd like to submit papers to Turnitin, you must change your user type to Instructor. You can do so by clicking on Instructor from the user type drop-down menu at the top of any page within your account.
