Some OER's from OpenStax have Blackboard Course Cartridge's that you can import into your Blackboard course to make managing the content easier.  

How to import a Blackboard Course Cartridge from OpenStax into Blackboard

1. Find the Blackboard Course Cartridge for your OpenStax book under Instructor Resources on the OpenStax website.  Click the Download button and save the file to your computer.   

2. Login to Blackboard and navigate to your course that you want to import the course material into.   Under the Course Management menu, go to Packages and Utilities -> Import Packages/View Logs.  Click on the Import Package button:

 3. Go to the Select a Package area and click on the Browse Local Files button to import the file.   Attach the Zip file that you downloaded from OpenStax to import.  

4.  Use the Select All button to include everything in the import and click Submit.

If successful, you will receive an email and a purple confirmation at the top of the page.  

5.  Close and exit the course.  

6.  Re-enter the course.  You should now see a new menu link with the imported items and resources from the OpenStax website for your course.
